This paper analyzes the development prospects of the property market and discusses its current
state in Russia. The study identifies the main problems and factors affecting the development of the
Russian housing market. It is shown that the key problems of the Russian housing market are the low
effective demand and income level of the population, a high level of interest rates, the low
consumer satisfaction with respect to the volume of housing construction in certain regions,
particularly in rural areas, the lack of borrowed and attracted financial resources and other factors.
The paper gives a review of the main development trends of the property market in Russia and
presents a comparative analysis of its development trends in other countries.
