Accounting staff are guided by in their work current legislation of Russian Federation, decrees of the President of Russian Federation set by the Russian government, standard act of ministries, agencies and University of orders and directives leadership of the University, job functions.​

To accountancy the following tasks are entrusted with:

• Formation of complete and reliable information on the status of assets and liabilities of the University.
• Provide information needed for internal and external users of financial statements to monitor compliance with the legislation of Russian Federation in the implementation of the organization of economic operations and their expediency, availability and movement of property and obligations, use of material, labor and financial resources in accordance with approved standards, standard acts and estimates.
• Preventing of negative results of the economic activities of the University.

Functions of accountancy of the University:

• Organization and managing accounting and tax accounting of the University;
• Preparation and submission of financial statements and tax returns within the terms established by the legislation of the Russian Federation.
