Virtual 8th Higher Education Institutions Conference "Reinventing Higher Education" was held in Zagreb, Croatia.
Inga Koryagina, Head of International Divivsion, Faculty of Finance, Associate Professor of Marketing Department of Plekhanov University took part in the international online conference organized and hosted by the Zagreb School of Economics and Management, Croatia.
The conference brought together rectors, deans, heads of the international programs and other key people in the field of higher education. The interdisciplinary nature of the conference was manifested in the fact that representatives of the labor market interested in the search and development of young talents, also took an active part in it.
On November 26, Inga Koryagina on behalf of the Faculty of Finance of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics as well as the speakers from the Luxembourg Business School; The School of Economics and Management of Zagreb and the University of Rio dos Sinos Valley took part in the panel discussion "New Opportunities for Faculties" moderated by Borna Jalšenjak, PhD and Senior Lecturer in Leadership, Business Ethics and CSR, Zagreb School of Economics and Management, Croatia.
Inga Koryagina took part in the discussion about new knowledge and skills for the professors teaching at financial faculties, and also shared her experience dealing with international students in the new reality. She also told how the pandemic changed the image and perception of the teacher in an online format.
"Online education is gradually shaping into a television format where the teacher is being shaped into a TV speaker. Therefore, both the ways of launching the information online and the speaker's image itself are changing" said Inga Koryagina.
The Split Staff Inspection and Management College also joined the conference on 27 November; Umeå School of Business, Economics and Statistics; Rijeka University, Tula Institute of Law and Management; Sakarya University and National University of Uzbekistan. Panel discussions were held on the topics of "Changes and challenges of higher education" and "Innovations in higher education."
Following the conference, universities decided to expand international cooperation, introduce a practical-oriented approach to learning and look for new tools and methods of giving lectures in a new reality.
