Founded in 1907
The Faculty of Mathematical Economics, Statistics and Informatics (Computer Science) has a great history and is truly considered to be the most elite faculty of the University. In June 1970 the first faculty of Economic Cybernetics in Russia was founded. Many famous Russian scientists and experts are the graduates of the faculty. In 2015 the faculty celebrates its 45th anniversary.
The main mission of the Faculty is to train highly skilled specialists with fundamental knowledge of mathematical modeling and analysis of economic systems, those who will be best capable of developing and introducing information systems for businesses and public sector of management.
Since 2015 it is called the Faculty Mathematical economics, statistics and informatics. Nowadays it has over 2000 students who study at 7 bachelor directions, 7 master programs and practice-oriented applied baccalaureate's programmes.
