Founded in 1907
Department of Informatics successfully carries out research work on grants of RFBR and IBM, research projects within the target programs of the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation, contracts with other organizations, internal grants of PRUE.
Research projects of the Department of Informatics:
- the project "Information and telecommunication systems in the economy and forecasting of socio - economic indicators" (head doctor of economic Sciences Kitova O. V.);
- project on the grant Of the President of the Russian Federation "Analysis and modeling of interaction of "startups", investors and the state in Russia (head of Ph. D. Weinberg R. R.);
‒ competition of the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation "Organizational and methodological support of the competition of scientific and innovative projects of students of SPO and VPO, graduate students and young scientists in the direction of "Information and telecommunication systems" to integrate the best ideas into the process of innovative development of high-tech domestic companies and enterprises" (C. E. S. Romanova, Yu.);
- the project "University Saturdays" on the grant of the Department of education of the government of Moscow; - the project "Creation of a system of registration of participants for Federal events" (ruk. C. E. S. Romanova, Yu. d.);
‒ the project "Development of methodical recommendations on the organization of the VI all-Russian championship on computer all-around among pensioners (Union of pensioners of Russia)" (hands. Ph. D. Romanova Yu. D.):

Department of Informatics carries out research work in the following areas
‒ theoretical and applied Informatics;
‒ information business Analytics and forecasting in various fields of Economics and management; - intelligent information systems, business performance management systems;
‒ management of information and intellectual resources of the organization on the basis of knowledge management systems; ‒ electronic business systems;
‒ information management; ‒ information security;
‒ software engineering;-automation of corporate business processes (electronic document management, digital scientific library, database of the center for advanced training of University teachers);
‒ electronic educational resources and distance learning.
The Department of Informatics acted as a co-executor during the competition of scientific and innovative projects of students of SPO and HPE, postgraduates and young scientists in the direction of "Information and telecommunication systems" of the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation.
Teachers of the Department developed more than 60 electronic textbooks and electronic educational resources.
More than 50 certificates of state registration were received for the results of scientific work (software, electronic educational resources). The Department regularly conducts scientific student contests together with the company "Consultant Plus".
The Department participates in the project "Operational monitoring of socio-economic development of Russia and Russian regions". The statistics obtained in the framework of the project and published on the portal of the Situational center, used by teachers of the faculty in the educational process (the educational practice of students, PMASI, lessons on discipline "Information technology statistical processing").
