Head of the Department is Tatarnikov Oleg Veniaminovich. Higher mathematics is a leading comprehensive academic discipline basis to receiving higher education in the directions of Economics, Finance and Management.  

The department consists of 6 professors, 27 associate professors, 9 senior lecturers, 1 assistent, 76% of teachers have a degree: 6 doctors and 26 PhDs. Department staff carry out all kinds of studies at all faculties of the university, in its branches in the country and abroad. At the faculty International Business School (IBS Plekhanov) teaching of all courses of higher mathematics is taught in English.
