The Department was founded in 1984 as a part of International Economic Relationship Faculty. Ever since it is headed by well-known in Russia and abroad scientist, honored worker of science, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Economics, Professor Khasbulatov Ruslan Imranovich.
Activity of the Department of World Economy is aimed at improving the quality of education and maintaining the image of the university as a leading high school of Economics with more than 100-year history.
Specialists of the Department provide teaching of all the main disciplines of "World Economy" program track, that make the basis of the economic education in general: "The world economy and international economic relations", "International trade", "Economy of foreign countries", "International Finance", "Multinational corporations in the global economy."
