Founded in 1907
On July 25-26, 2018, World Trade Center (WTC) of Moscow held VI International expert council (IEC) of transport under the Government of Moscow. The purpose of the meeting was research and analysis of the world experience in the sphere of transport in large cities for the further practices' implementation in Moscow. The council gathered speakers of an international level from the USA, Estonia, Belgium, China (continental and Hong Kong) and France, which shared their experience in developing taxi, car sharing, self-driving and electronic transport in their countries.
The Plekhanov delegation was headed by Rector Victor I. Grishin, who is the Chairman of Scientific Council of the Department of transport and traffic infrastructure development of Moscow. The panel sessions of IEC welcomed members of Academic Department of Marketing, assoc. prof. O.O. Grineva, assoc. prof. I.M. Markin and of Academic Department of Entrepreneurship and Logistics, head of the chair assoc. prof. D.V. Zavyalov and assoc. prof. S.Yu. Kazantseva, and head of Research work organization center S.V. Manakhov. The members of the chairs have been implementing for the past few years extensive research in the field of urban transport in Moscow, including the development of cycling and cycling infrastructure, the metro, the Moscow Central ring, ground urban passenger transport, passenger taxi services.
The participation of specialists of Plekhanov University allowed exchanging views and getting information about the best international experience in the development of transport systems, which, of course, will serve as an additional groundwork for further research in the field of development of the transport complex of Moscow and other cities of Russia.
