The international WorldSkills championship is held in UAE, Abu Dhabi. The event had 1300 participants from 77 countries. Fifty-two competences organized the championship. Our national team included 58 representatives of different occupations from dozens regions.

Gleb Shmonin has been included in the national team Worldskills Russia after the victory in the annual National final of the championship WSR, which took place in Krasnodar, in May 2017. He gave the responsibility of "freight forwarding services" and received a gold medal. To prepare for the world championship, our student has passed extensive training in a large international forwarding company in July-October 2017. At the international championship in Abu Dhabi, he managed to win the first place and to bring in the Treasury of the Russian team gold medal. This year for the first time, Russia took the 1st place in the team standings (to score points) and 5th place in the medal standings (6 gold medals, 4 silver and 1 bronze).
