Founded in 1907
The ranking is a total rating of universities participating in the Scholarship program of Vladimir Potanin and is based on indicators for all competitions of the program: Scholarship competition for master's students, grant competition for master's teachers, Competition of socially significant projects and Foundation's School.
Since 2004, Plekhanov University is among the best higher education institutions according to V. Potanin ranking and this year shares its position #55-56 with RANEPA leaving behind such universities as MGIMO, RSUH, RSE and many others. In the Increasing rating of the Potanin Fund, which is calculated based on the average values of estimates for all indicators for 2016 – 2018, Plekhanov took up a position 55.
According to the V. Potanin Foundation, the rating of higher education institutions has been published annually since 2004 and is one of the most authoritative independent assessments of the quality of education in Russian universities. Starting from 2013/2014, the rating is based on information related to the master's program – starting from 2013.
Vladimir Potanin's scholarship program is designed exclusively for undergraduates and their teachers. In addition, the second academic season in the ranking involves non-state universities.
