Plekhanov University signs a bilateral cooperation agreement with Far Eastern federal university

​On August 24, 2018, Plekhanov University of Economics signed a bilateral cooperation agreement with Far Eastern federal university.


Rector of Plekhanov University Victor I. GRISHIN opened the meeting and told about the history of the University, its today's state, the number of branches, programmes, admissions 2018 and its place in the international ratings. Rector pointed out the importance and significance of the cooperation: "Our universities dynamically develop and this cooperation will be useful for each of the parties" – highlighted Victor Ivanovich.


Rector of Far Eastern federal university Nikita Yu. ANISIMOV told about the trainings of his university, the number of students, the average pass rate and the international relations' development. "We open the university office in Tokyo, Beijing and Seoul, and we also develop international relations with Japan, Korea and China through teachers' mobility. At the same time cooperation with leading Moscow universities play a great role for us so our students do not leave Vladivostok and understand that a good education is available because of the modern technologies of mobility" – said Nikita Yuryevich.


The rectors discussed the possibility of teachers and students' mobility, and a joint educational, scientific and research activity.


After signing the agreement, they expressed hope for a fruitful cooperation and a successful result.


Note: Far Eastern federal university was established in 1899 as Eastern University. In 2010, after consolidation of for leading colleges of Far East: Far Eastern state university: Far Eastern state technical university, Pacific state economic university and Ussuriysk state pedagogic university, far Eastern federal university was found. Since 2016, the new team of acting rector Nikita Anisimov develop communications of Russian and international expert community with research, educational and innovational institutes of the Asia-Pacific region. The partnership includes universities and research centers of Japan, South Korea, China and other countries of APR.


The campus of the University is 800 000m2, which includes study buildings, dormitories, exhibition halls and recreation areas. There are 23 000 students.
