Founded in 1907
On November 30 the World Trade Center held the XI National Congress "Modernization of Russian industry: Development priorities". The National Congress is an open international business platform, focused on the development of long term partnerships between businesses, government agencies and public organizations in the process of discussing pressing economic issues of today. The organizers of the event were the Russian public organization "Business Russia"; All-Russian public organization of support of small and medium entrepreneurship "Opora Rossii"; the Ministry of industry and trade of the Russian Federation; Trade-industrial Board of the Russian Federation; the Fund for the development of Russian industry.
Professor Andrey Bystrov, Head of Academic Department of Industrial Economics, participated from the part of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in events of the official opening of the Congress plenary sessions and section "Diversification of the economy: productivity increasing of existing production and new development for the Russian economy sectors".
The main topic of the Congress was to ensure a constant dialogue and coordination of actions of the government and society in the face of its most active members, entrepreneurs and scientists, and discuss plans for further development of key industries, sharing of experiences, technologies, solutions and the ability to convey their point of view before the first persons of the country. The format of the annual meetings of entrepreneurs from all over Russia and abroad, with the participation of representatives of the first persons of the country allows to create a platform for open dialogue with the possibility of making informed decisions, a better understanding of each other's interests, receiving feedback and planning further steps for the effective development of the industrial policy of the country.
