From 18 until 20 June 2019, faculty of political sciences, University of Bari Aldo Moro, Italy, held the annual migration conference. The event included 140 parallel sessions, 4 plenary conferences, 4 round-tables, 1 exhibition and 3 films presentations during three days. Over 600 representatives of the academic sphere, business, state and non-profit organizations from more than 60 countries took part in the conference.
The modern tendencies of international migration, migration policy, diasporas, refugees and forced migrants, Europe migration crisis, illegal migration, the main migration corridors of the world, migrants' money exchange and precautious conditions for working migrants were the main topics during the scientific meetings.
Assoc. prof. of Basic chair of Chamber of Commerce of Russia "Development of Human Capital", Plekhanov University, Igor Shichkin presented a report "Precarious Employment of International Migrant Workers: The State and Ways to Reduce" at the session "Work, Employment, Markets". He explained the reasons for the vulnerable conditions of foreign workers, and the determinants and the attributes of precarious employment of migrants. He estimated the consequences of the above-mentioned issues. A. Shichkin pointed out that the negative effects and precarious employability may be reduced by consolidating the efforts of the international community and business, focusing on the investments into human capital of working migrants.
The conference's results are reflected in the Collection of Scientific Works.
A. Shichkin held meetings with representatives of leading scientific and educational institutions at the faculty of political sciences, University of Bari Aldo Moro, the negotiations showed positives results in the aspect of cooperation.
