Rector of PRUE Viktor Grishin takes part in the reception of Minister of education and science of the RF, O. Vasilyeva, in Chamber of Commerce and Industry

​On January 31 Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation held the first in this year business lunch within the cycle "Meetings at Ilyinka". Olga Vasilyeva, Ministry of education and science, was the guest of the event.


"The theme of education is very important for businesses," – said in his opening remarks Sergei Katyrin, the President of the RF CCI. "Employers need educated, skilled workers and managers. The Chamber is actively involved in addressing these issues, the Committee works to promote professional and business education, the Chamber was set up your Institute – international management Institute of business associations engaged in additional professional education, a Council for vocational qualifications". According to Sergey Katyrin, we are likely talking about closer cooperation with the Ministry of education and science, which will be useful to all.


Olga Vasilyeva, the Minister of education and science of the Russian Federation, told about the activities of the Ministry, the condition of education in the country, about the plans and prospects of its development. In University education today there are resolved three issues: accessibility; usability; quality. This year there will be an unprecedented number of budget places, and 46 percent of them given over to engineering, as required by the economy. The target intake for all universities starts this year. Upon completion graduates will need to work out for at least three years at the company. The supporting universities are being established in the regions. In general, as the Minister noted, on many issues, interaction with business is developing quite successfully.


Viktor Grishin, rector of PRUE, the Chairman of the RF CCI Committee for promotion of professional and business education, raised the issue of training for entrepreneurship, proposing to consider the possibility of opening new specialties of secondary professional education and the new direction of training of higher education for undergraduate and graduate "Entrepreneurship" in the framework of the enlarged group of specialties and areas of "Economics and management".


In addition to the rector of PRUE V. Grishin, from the University the meeting was attended by V. Zhidkikh, Deputy Chairman of the RF CCI Committee for promotion of professional and business education, Dean of Faculty of Hotel, Restaurant, Tourism and Sport Industry and S. Naumov, the Chairman of the Subcommittee of higher education, the Director of Saratov Socio-Economic Institute of PRUE.


Summarizing the meeting, Sergei Katyrin noted the large number of suggestions made during a business-lunch, and expressed confidence that many initiatives can be successfully promoted by joint efforts.​
