 SAP Next-Gen Lab Plekhanov project innovations laboratory opened at the University

​On September 8, 2017, the project innovations laboratory SAP Next-Gen Lab Plekhanov solemnly opened at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. The laboratory was organized at the base of Academic Department of entrepreneurship and logistics of PRUE together with the company "SAP CIS" within the program "SAP University Alliances".


The goal of the program is the integration of theoretical and practical training that helps students to improve skills in teamwork and critical thinking required in today's innovative economy.


The laboratory work will focus on the development of project learning, engaging students to solve real industrial problems, creating innovative solutions, using the tools of design thinking in project work.


The laboratory plans to organize design workshops for University students and external participants, the realization of the students own applied projects within the framework of the final and term papers, project work for external customers, as well as participation in various Intercollegiate events and competitions. SAP Next-Gen Lab Plekhanov is a new lab created by PRUE together with the University Alliance SAP.


"We are extremely pleased to see another global company at the University. This lab is a great contribution to the accomplishment of our strategic objectives, improving the competitiveness of our graduates," — said at the opening of the laboratory Vice-rector for Academic Affairs, HR and Property Complex of PRUE Tatiana Voronova.


SAP Next-Gen Lab Plekhanov is the seventh University center SAP in Russia. In the framework of the laboratory's students, teachers and young scientists will have access to educational materials and technologies by SAP, and will be able to get advice from leading experts in innovation centers for SAP around the world.


SAP University Alliance has more than 3 thousand educational institutions in 106 countries. The industrial partners of the innovation center will have the opportunity to test new technological solutions and to assess the prospects of their integration into their business processes.
