The future belongs to IT - heterogeneous computer systems at Plekhanov University

In Plekhanov Russian University of Economics it is planned to open a scientific laboratory «Heterogeneous Computer Systems», which will be headed by Professor of the Delft University of Technology (Netherlands), Georgi Gaydadjiev. The scientist gave an online lecture for the Plekhanov students «How to create large-scale computer systems and not waste hundreds of Megawatts of electricity?». At the lecture the students of the inter-faculty group of talented youth Data Science and the Institute of Digital Economy and Information Technologies of PRUE considered one of the problems that the laboratory staff will investigate.

Georgi Gaydadjiev, PhD in Computer Science of the Delft University of Technology, Professor in Innovative Computer Architecture at the Faculty of Science and Engineering, University of Groningen maintains an active network of collaborations with the most important stakeholders in both the computer industry and academia. He also develops the "road maps" for the implementation of computer technologies ("road maps" HiPEAC).

«To train world-class specialists, as we determine the students of the Data Science group, the specialists of the appropriate level are invited. Professor Gaidadzhiev is one of the leading experts in this field. His lecture introduces the students with the topics of the future laboratory. Moreover we plan that our students and postgraduates will work there», commented the head of Plekhanov University Research Nerwork Sergey Valentey.
