Plekhanov Russian University of Economics holds students and instructors of Moscow institutions Open IT-Cup

​On April 21 2017 Plekhanov Russian University of Economics for the 3rd time held the students and instructors of Moscow institutions Open IT-Cup. The purpose of the cup is rallying the education community at the base of common interests in the sphere of informational communication technologies, overcoming "digital inequality", improving mobility and quality of education.


The Cup was organized by Faculty of E-Learning and Academic Department of Informatics of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.


The Cup was attended by 59 students and instructors of PRUE, colleges, branches of PRUE and Moscow institutions. Among the rivals there were participants from Minsk, Perm and Smolensk branches of Plekhanov University, Russian State Social University, Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL), Gubkin Unievrsity, National University of Science and Technology (MISiS). The Cup was sponsored by such well-known companies as Microsoft, Lanit, Consultant Plus, Hewlett-Packard, INFOWATCH.


The chairman of the organizational committee, vice-rector for Academic Affairs Olga A. Grishina opened the event.


The IT-Cup included two rounds. The first round consisted of computer tasks under sections: Microsoft Office (MSWord, MSExcel, MSPowerPoint) and LRS Consultant Plus. The second round was an intellectual game organized by PRUE and the Unievrsity partner, company "Consultant Plus".


The special nomination "Most active team" went to the team of Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. The nomination "Best student" was won by Alina Edovina, Faculty of Finance, PRUE. The second place was got by Olga Semyokhina, Faculty of E-Learning; the 3rd – Elena Arkadyeva, representative of Perm branch of PRUE. "Best instructor" was won by associate professor of Minsk branch Alexandr A. Nepravskiy. The second place – Sergey V. Gorev, Faculty of E-Learning; third place – Anna O. Yakovleva, associate professor of department of management of Moscow technological university.


The nomination "Best team" (a joint result of an instructor and a student) was got by S.V. Gorev and O. Semyokhina, Faculty of E-Learning, PRUE; the second place went to Kutafin University (A. Bekin, Kravchenko A.); third place – Faculty of Finance of PRUE (K. Afanasiadi, Edovina A.). The absolute champion – Tatiana V. Dmitrieva (Russian State Social University). All participants received certificates and the winners got diplomas and prizes.


The awarding ceremony was solemnly held by vice-rector for Academic Affairs O.A. Grishina, vice-rector for Education and Methodology Work P.A. Karasev, and sponsors representatives.​
