15 September St. Petersburg hosted the III Forum of small and medium enterprises of the Leningrad region "The Energy of possibilities. The formula of development". This year the Forum gathered a record number of participants – more than 500 people came to St. Petersburg from all the districts of the Leningrad region. Experts, analysts, representatives of authorities and public organizations, successful entrepreneurs have tried to derive a formula for business success in the twenty-first century.
In the plenary session of the Forum was attended by the Governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko, Vice-Chairman of the government of Leningrad region Dmitry Yalov, Vice-President of Trading-industrial chamber of the Russian Federation Elena Dybova and Institute of management and social-economical designing of PRUE Nadezhda Surova.
The main direction of development of business in Russia after the debate highlighted: the digital transformation of business and social entrepreneurship. The main newsmaker was the Governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko. In the beginning of the meeting he reported on the establishment of Leningrad region the largest mining centre in Russia and suggested that the cryptocurrency developers and innovative start-UPS to consider the site of the new Technopark.
Director of Institute of management and social-economical designing of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics N. Surova supported the speech of the Governor, describing the joint business training programs for social entrepreneurs, the first in Russia educational programs in the field of "digital money", and also showed the options for the creation of ecosystems mining farms focused not only on the development of cryptocurrency, but the use of produced in the mining process heat for heating of the residential districts of the Leningrad region to reduce tariffs for the population and optimization of the regional budget.
Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Leningrad region Dmitry Yalov noted that an important factor of development is the digital transformation of the existing business. For increase of competitive capacity of businesses, need to allocate funds for business development, training, modern technology advancement.
Elena Dybova, Vice-President of Trading-industrial chamber of the Russian Federation drew attention to the most important for business issues and spoke about global trends not only in business but also in the development of man himself.
Plenary session and all subsequent sections were performed in constant communication with the participants of the Forum gave everyone the opportunity to obtain answers to topical and problematic issues.
On the question about the main problems of small business in Russia that need to be corrected, the Director of the Institute of management REU them. Plekhanov stressed the need to shift from traditional business models to collaborative (collaborative) given the increasing digital transformation of the Russian economy and the transition from traditional investments to socially transformative investments.
