Founded in 1907
From September 29 to October 3, 2019, students of the Data Science group of the Russian Academy of Economics G.V. Plekhanov participated in the International Student School “Big Data mining and distributed systems” as part of the XXVII International Symposium “Nuclear Electronics and Computing - NEC'2019” in Budva, Montenegro. The event is organized by the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) and CERN. Symposium participants are leading experts in the field of advanced computing and network technologies, distributed computing, as well as GRID, cloud computing and nuclear electronics.
The main objective of the School was to increase the knowledge of young scientists, students and graduate students of various universities in such areas of science as modern methods of Big Data analytics, machine and deep learning, and high-performance systems.
Lectures and seminars were conducted by leading scientists and specialists from the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research and leading Russian universities. School participants also attended plenary lectures on advanced scientific research. In addition to the educational process, the participants of the School had a rich excursion and cultural program.
School students were 32 students from 10 universities in Russia. PRUE was represented by students: Daniil Vilyavin, Julia Gavrilenko, Olga Razumova, Petr Sokerin, Yuri Shakhov, Elena Shek.
A round table was held within the framework of the School, at which students briefly presented their scientific work in areas related to the main topics of the event. According to the results of the work, the most active and talented participants were awarded. Students REU them. G.V. Plekhanov won in the following categories:
"Creative Presentation" - Elena Shek;
“Innovation project” - Yuri Shakhov.
