Delegation from University of Applied Sciences of Burgenland, Austria, visits Plekhanov University

On April 30, 2019, delegation from University of Applied Sciences of Burgenland, Austria, included Vice-rector for research and innovations Silvia Ettl-Huber and Head of International relations office of economic department Alexander Burka, visited Plekhanov University.  

 

The Burgenland University is located in Eisenstadt and was founded in 1994 as a state institution. This practice-oriented university has 4000 students.

 

Vice-rector for development D. Shtykhno and Head of International Office L. Bragin negotiated with the Austrian colleagues. They discussed the issues of cooperation in the sphere of student and teachers exchange for 2019-2020, touched upon university internationalization’s problem and priority directions of development.

 

Acting Dean of Faculty of marketing I. Sharova and leading researcher of the faculty O. Grineva discussed the ways of establishing Masters dual diploma program “Entrepreneurship and marketing in global economics”, and the issues of academic cooperation in order to create a joint research project, financed by the two universities. Faculty of marketing invited students of Burgenland to take part in the summer schools of the faculty.

 

The last meeting took place in Business incubator of Plekhanov University. Specialist O. Pisanaya told the guests about the acceleration program, the residents’ projects incubation, interaction with corporations, international accelerations. The issue of exchange of experience with foreign partners through internships of both successful participants of the acceleration and incubation program of the business incubator and its employees was also touched upon. Plekhanov University invited colleagues of the business incubator of the University of Applied Sciences of Burgenland as experts at significant events.

 

The Austrian guests made a tour around the University; saw the historic campuses and rooms, and other sights.
