Throughout the history of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics
tens of thousands of high-qualified specialists were graduated from the
University and succeed on the professional field not only in Russia but
also abroad. Among them are businessmen and top-managers of corporations
and representatives of modern scientific society as well. Some of
University’s alumni have become famous statesmen of the federal level.
 | | Abel G. AGANBEGYAN Leading Soviet and Russian economist, Doctor of Economics, full
member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and an honorary doctor of
business administration of Kingston University. In 1989–2002 - rector of
the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian
Federation. In the time of Perestroika he was a counselor of the
Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet Mikhail GORBACHEV. He is
a foreign member of the Bulgarian and the Hungarian Academies of
Sciences, a correspondenting member of the British Academy and the
founder and first editor of the journal EKO. |

President of Vietnam from 1997 to 2006.
In 1959 joined the
Comminist party of Vietman. In 1987 became deputy prime minister. Since
1996 - a Member of the Politburo. He was elected president on September
24, 1997, and re-elected in 2002.

Andrey Y. BELYANINOV
Russian businessman and government official, honored economist of the
Russian Federation, Doctor of Economics. He is an active state
counselor of customs service of the Russian Federation (since 2007), from 12.05.2006 until 28.07.2016 the
Head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia.

Rinchinnyam AMARJARGAL
Prime Minister of Mongolia from July 30, 1999 to
July 26, 2000. Amarjargal contributed to the democratic movement in
Mongolia from the beginning. He was a founding member of the New
Progress-Union and the National Progress-Party. Then he helped to merge
those with several other parties to form the National Democratic
Party. In 1999 Amarjargal became a chairman of the Party. He was finally
designated as the Prime Minister of Mongolia on July 30 of the same
year.

Mikhail M. ZADORNOV
Russian economist, banker and government official, a Minister of
Finance of the Russian Federation (1997-1999), a deputy of State Duma of
the Russian Federation of 1th-4rd convocations. Mikhail ZADORNOV is the President and Chairman of Board of VTB24 bank.

Grigory A. YAVLINSKY
Russian
economist and politician. He is best known as the author of the 500
Days Programme, a plan for the transition of the USSR to a free-market
economy, and for his leadership of the liberal Yabloko party. He ran
twice for Russia's presidency – in 1996, against Boris Yeltsin,
finishing fourth with 7.3% of the vote; and in 2000, against Vladimir
Putin, finishing third with 5.8%. He did not run in 2004 or 2008, after
his party failed to cross the 5% threshold in the 2003 Duma elections.
